Blog post here: Fall Romance
The most important icon on your iPhone is this one.
Knowledge at your fingertips, spiritual enlightenment on the regular, thought leaders around the world being interviewed and sharing their success stories and how they came to be. And you being able to listen to all of it anytime you want.
I fell in love with podcasting about a year ago. I have incorporated them into morning routine and any chance I can turn one on I do. At the gym, walking, driving, etc.
Here are my Top 5:
Oprah’s opening monologue in the beginning of every episode starts:
“The most important thing you can give yourself is TIME, time to be fully present.”
The podcast is so moving on so many levels, it literally feeds your SOUL, so much so that you are left wanting more. I usually tear up while listening because the conversations are so powerful, thought provoking and spiritual, which I crave regularly.
Gary Vaynerchuk is the Ultimate motivational speaker. My kind of guy, no bullshit, straight to the point. His message is clear, if you want to be an entrepreneur then get ready to WORK HARD! He goes into great detail how hard work, tuning out the outside noise and listening to yourself are what will give you everything you want. He will win you over in the end because at the root of his existence is a BIG heart. An immigrant who is living the AMERICAN DREAM. An author, CEO, public speaker, investor, this man knows so much and wants to share it and that is priceless.
Tim Ferriss, I love this guy. So smart, self aware and asks all the right questions. My favorite episode is #124 with Jamie Foxx.
“Tim Ferriss is a self-experimenter and bestselling author, best known for The 4-Hour Workweek, which has been translated into 40+ languages. Newsweek calls him “the world’s best human guinea pig,” and The New York Times calls him “a cross between Jack Welch and a Buddhist monk.” In this show, he deconstructs world-class performers from eclectic areas (investing, chess, pro sports, etc.), digging deep to find the tools, tactics, and tricks that listeners can use.”
Everything I know about blogging, working hard, being yourself came from this podcast. She is the ultimate blogger, and my forever girl crush because of the BOSS she is and her amazing husband by her side, he is a badass in his own right and together are the POWER COUPLE every couple wants to be.
“Why live an ordinary life, when you can live an extraordinary one?” Tony Robbins, the #1 Life and Business Strategist, has helped over 50 million people from 100 countries create real and lasting change in their lives. In this podcast, he shares proven strategies and tactics so you, too, can achieve massive results in your business, relationships, health and finances. In addition to excerpts from his signature events and other exclusive, never-before-released audio content, Tony and his team also conduct deeply insightful interviews with the most prominent masterminds and experts on the global stage.
I hope you download all of these podcasts to your phone immediately , don’t forget they are all FREE!!!!!!!! Podcasts have influenced my life so much in the best way possible and i’m so passioniate about them I had to share. I hope you like them and they bring as much value to your life as they have for me.
As always Thank You for stopping by.
I met up with my friend/photographer just as the sun was setting one night last week. I kept saying, “I love this lighting, it’s so romantic”. The Sun playing with my hair and warming my face as I kept going up and down the stairs chasing the “good lighting” was just what my soul needed. This dress is so dreamy and so romantic is was perfect for this location. The best part about this dress is not the high-low hem, sweetheart neckline or off the shoulder details, but the fact that it was only $36.00 makes it AMAZING!!!!! It has recently just sold out but the modern vintage website has so much to offer at affordable prices.
I hope you are having a great week. As always thank you for stopping by.
This book is a page turner and a must read for the summer! I’ve read online that Blake Lively is set to play the main character and since then while reading the book I can completely envision her doing so.
“Imagine your husband wrote you a letter, to be opened after his death. Imagine, too, that the letter contains his deepest, darkest secret—something with the potential to destroy not only the life you built together, but the lives of others as well. And then imagine that you stumble across that letter while your husband is still very much alive…”
“Cecilia Fitzpatrick has achieved it all—she’s an incredibly successful businesswoman, a pillar of her small community, and a devoted wife and mother. But that letter is about to change everything—and not just for her. There are other women who barely know Cecilia—or each other—but they, too, are about to feel the earth-shattering repercussions of her husband’s secret.”
I plan on reading this book next. I am constantly looking for books that will inspire me to be the best version of myself, provide me with knowledge for growth and words to keep moving forward. This is definitely one of those books.
“Girl Code is a roadmap for female entrepreneurs, professional women, “side hustlers” (those with a day job plus a part-time small business), and anyone in between. This book won’t teach you how to build a multimillion-dollar company. It won’t teach you about systems or finance. But it will teach you how to build confidence in yourself, reconnect with your “why,” eradicate jealousy, and ultimately learn the power of connection. Because at the end of the day, that’s what life and business are all about.”
I’ve only started reading this a couple of weeks ago but I’m addicted. You can feel Tony’s energy within the pages as your reading the book and it’s so inspiring that you can’t put it down. If you need guidance of any kind I would say that Tony has you covered.
I bought this book on my iPad when Carole first appeared on the NYC housewives. She writes so beautifully and the fact that the Kennedy’s are a part of this story makes it’s so compelling to read. I consider the Kennedy’s, American’s version of Royalty.
A stunning, tragic memoir about John F. Kennedy Jr., his wife Carolyn Bissett, and his cousin Anthony Radziwill, by Radziwill’s widow, now a star of The Real Housewives of New York.
What Remains is a vivid and haunting memoir about a girl from a working-class town who becomes an award-winning television producer and marries a prince, Anthony Radziwill. Carole grew up in a small suburb with a large, eccentric cast of characters. At nineteen, she struck out for New York City to find a different life. Her career at ABC News led her to the refugee camps of Cambodia, to a bunker in Tel Aviv, and to the scene of the Menendez murders. Her marriage led her into the old world of European nobility and the newer world of American aristocracy.
The Girl Before by J.P. Delaney
I decided to read “The Girl Before” because my mom read it and absolutely loved it (she finished it in a day) and we have very similar reading tastes! I did finish it quickly (it is a page-turner) however by the end of the novel I was left wanting more. The book is a cross between Gone Girl and Fifty Shades of Grey – if you liked those two books, then you will probably love this one. My main issue with the novel was that the protagonists, both women, kept making stupid decisions. Some of their behavior was just outright ridiculous – I wanted to grab them by the shoulders and shake them! The book alternates between the perspectives of Emma (Before) and Jane (After) as they move into a new apartment – a very beautiful but strange apartment owned by the handsome and mysterious Edward Montford (who is very similar to Christian Grey in Fifty Shades of Grey). Overall it was very entertaining and worth the read! – Southern Curls and Pearls
This book review was written by Southern Curls and Pearls , she said it just perfectly so I had to share.
I hope you all have an amazing day and pick up a book this summer to read on those lazy days by the pool.
I hope you had an awesome weekend. My weekend was filled with a lot of Rose’ , making new friends and picking up this adorable top on Friday night that I am now obsessed with. I’m a huge fan of Revolve clothing the online store that features a ton of tops like that one I’m wearing that come with a hefty price tag. So I wandered into Francesca’s Friday night and found this gem and quickly snagged it right up, you can’t beat $38. Tops that are off the shoulder and have dainty details like the sleeves on this one are so romantic and scream summer to me. Plus I haven’t worn a pink top in forever and needed to add this to my closet asap. You can wear this with denim shorts or white denim pants, so cute.
I’m putting together a list of books I’m reading for the summer so be sure to check back soon.
Thanks as always for stopping by. Have a great week!
A year ago I decided to start my Blog. I didn’t really have a plan, I just knew I needed to start doing it and the rest would fall into place. I had been following bloggers since 2013. When I realized that most of these women were pursing their passions of fashion, beauty and travel I knew I had to start blogging.
Then I came across The Skinny Confidential, in particular Lauryn Evarts Bosstick the creator and bad ass chic who gave me the confidence and taught me how to blog, brand and to just be myself. By reading her blog daily and listening to her weekly podcast I continue to learn all the time and growing everyday to build the blog I wanted. So Thank You Lauryn.
My vision could not have happened without my dear friend and photographer Neel @neels_corner . He gave me the most valuable thing anyone of us possesses and that is TIME. His patience, persistence of helping me create the moments I wanted to capture and share with all of you is priceless. He is truly one of kind and a true friend. So thank you!
Thank you to everyone who takes time out of their day to support my blog, through your likes, sharing and word of mouth I keep getting to do what I love and hopefully bring some happiness, smiles and value to you.
Just a few of my favorite pics from the last year!
Thank you for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!
Florida, the place of my birth.
I crave it sometimes and when the cravings get intense I hop on a plane or as most recently hopped into my car and made my way down from Charlottesville to the Sunshine State.
I arrived to find my niece and nephews chasing each other about on the back porch with sparklers in their hands, full of excitement for the 4th of July. The lake that sits in my parents backyard is a great host in the evening where the sunsets are so beautiful and can be watched easily with a glass of Rose’ in hand; feeling the warmth of the sun on your face as it fades away into the night.
The next day the little ones and I made our way down to the pool, where laughter ensues and games of marco/polo, who can dive the deepest, swim like a mermaid, dive for treasures were played endlessly and I relish in all of it. Being their Aunt is one of my greatest joys. I so envy their energy that never seems to run out. My niece has quite the imagination, always thinking of ways to be creative to play in her days of summer and reminding me to bend down and see things from her perspective. She said, “Tiff, you gotta see this view!”
My Family and I always come here after a day at the beach. They have the best Seafood! We always get the Fried Shrimp, fries and coleslaw.
I spent a week with my mother, my sisters and their children and it was just what I needed to recharge, feel connected and it helped center me for all the right reasons.
“Family is a gift that lasts forever.”
I hope you all are having a great week so far! Tomorrow is Friday, I am so ready! As always Thank you so much for stopping by.
The Ann Taylor Loft has really blown it out of the Park this season. I went in there a week ago and fell in love with everything. I picked up this adorable Gingham top for the print and the Bell Sleeves, I’m obsessed. You can’t go wrong with Paige Jeans, I own two pair and just can’t get enough of them. They shape and contour your body in the best possible way, I highly recommend them.
Memorial Day weekend is finally upon us. I really hope this means the start of summer here in Charlottesville, the weather has been a bit unpredictable lately. I’m looking forward to hanging out by my pool, sunscreen and hat of course and reading.
Happy Friday! Have a wonderful day and even better weekend!
I hope you all are having a wonderful week. I thought I would share what I am loving lately as far as skin care goes. I am obsessed with doing anything I can to help my skin stay young and wrinkle free.
This sunscreen was recommended by: The Skinny Confidential and like Lauryn, I believe Sunscreen is key to looking young and saving your skin from the sun. I preach all the time about wearing hats while your hanging outside or by the pool or whatever. Wear your sunscreen and wear a hat. You can find all the details for this swimsuit and hat here Bombshell Bikini .
Lately I have been obsessed with doing masks. I usually do them right when I get out of the shower, probably twice a week. I noticed my makeup just lays better on my face, it brightens the face, makes everything smooth and the best part is this is only $4 and I can usually get 3 applications out of this.
Every girl needs a serum and this one is amazing! Apply this first and then your moisturizer.
What it is:
A powerful antiaging serum formulated with vitamin C and collagen for brightening and all-day hydration.
– Dullness and uneven texture
– Loss of firmness and elasticity
I’ve been taking these daily to help strengthen my Hair, Skin and Nails. Pretty sure you can get these at CVS, Target, Walmart. They taste so good and are good for you.
Just a few products I am loving right now. I hope you find them as useful as I do.
Happy Hump Day.
When I saw this dress online I had to have it. I had been searching for anything gingham and then I found this dress. It is adorable. The material is so soft and has a Cotton/Linen type of fabric. It buttons all the way up the front of the dress, very similar to a shirt dress. But the back of the dress it what really won me over. I paired it with a wedge shoe for height but next time I’ll slip on a pair of sandals to go with it.
I would wear this dress to a backyard BBQ, brunch with the girls, apple picking, strawberry picking, it’s just so cute. Also another perk is that it’s on sale for less than $50 dollars. Gotta love that.
Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope your having a wonderful week!
