From The Inside Out


As I was eating my spinach salad this afternoon and thinking how much I love eating healthy because it makes me feel so GOOD! You know when you go to the gym it makes you want to eat better because you just worked your butt off and you don’t want to ruin it. I love that feeling.

How you feel on the inside will reflect on the outside. Just as in the picture above happiness will always find you by taking care of your body. I believe a big part of that comes from what we eat. It fuels our bodies to LIVE to do the things we love.

So I did a little research on the  Health Benefits of Spinach and let’s just say I now want spinach on the daily and hopefully you will too!

So here are the Benefits:

Low in fat and even lower in cholesterol, spinach is high in niacin and zinc, as well as protein, fiber, vitamins A, C, E and K, thiamin, vitamin B6, folate, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, copper, and manganese. In other word, it’s loaded with good things for every part of your body!

Abundant flavonoids in spinach act as antioxidants to keep cholesterol from oxidizing and protect your body from free radicals, particularly in the colon. The folate in spinach is good for your healthy cardiovascular system, and magnesium helps lower high blood pressure. Studies also have shown that spinach helps maintain your vigorous brain function, memory and mental clarity.

I started with Spinach, Avocado (half), cucumber, tuna, balsamic and olive oil. With  Red pepper chili flakes, turmeric powder, Chia seeds! So Filling, so good for you.

You have to get in the mind set that your body will carry you through to your last breath so you need to fuel it properly. Take care of it, give your body the things it needs to do the things you love. Plus stacking the odds in your favor doesn’t hurt anyone. It’s better to pay now for preventive care than to pay when you get diagnosed with some type of cancer.

Ok, enough with the heavy…….I just get so passionate about this subject. GET your greens in peeps.
