The Husband’s Secret

This book is a page turner and a must read for the summer! I’ve read online that Blake Lively is set to play the main character and since then while reading the book I can completely envision her doing so.

“Imagine your husband wrote you a letter, to be opened after his death. Imagine, too, that the letter contains his deepest, darkest secret—something with the potential to destroy not only the life you built together, but the lives of others as well. And then imagine that you stumble across that letter while your husband is still very much alive…”

“Cecilia Fitzpatrick has achieved it all—she’s an incredibly successful businesswoman, a pillar of her small community, and a devoted wife and mother. But that letter is about to change everything—and not just for her. There are other women who barely know Cecilia—or each other—but they, too, are about to feel the earth-shattering repercussions of her husband’s secret.”

The Girl Code book

I plan on reading this book next. I am constantly looking for books that will inspire me to be the best version of myself, provide me with knowledge for growth and words to keep moving forward. This is definitely one of those books.

“Girl Code is a roadmap for female entrepreneurs, professional women, “side hustlers” (those with a day job plus a part-time small business), and anyone in between. This book won’t teach you how to build a multimillion-dollar company. It won’t teach you about systems or finance. But it will teach you how to build confidence in yourself, reconnect with your “why,” eradicate jealousy, and ultimately learn the power of connection. Because at the end of the day, that’s what life and business are all about.”

Awaken the Giant Within

I’ve only started reading this a couple of weeks ago but I’m addicted. You can feel Tony’s energy within the pages as your reading the book and it’s so inspiring that you can’t put it down. If you need guidance of any kind I would say that Tony has you covered.

What Remains

I bought this book on my iPad when Carole first appeared on the NYC housewives. She writes so beautifully and the fact that the Kennedy’s are a part of this story makes it’s so compelling to read. I consider the Kennedy’s, American’s version of Royalty.

A stunning, tragic memoir about John F. Kennedy Jr., his wife Carolyn Bissett, and his cousin Anthony Radziwill, by Radziwill’s widow, now a star of The Real Housewives of New York.

What Remains is a vivid and haunting memoir about a girl from a working-class town who becomes an award-winning television producer and marries a prince, Anthony Radziwill. Carole grew up in a small suburb with a large, eccentric cast of characters. At nineteen, she struck out for New York City to find a different life. Her career at ABC News led her to the refugee camps of Cambodia, to a bunker in Tel Aviv, and to the scene of the Menendez murders. Her marriage led her into the old world of European nobility and the newer world of American aristocracy.

The Girl Before by J.P. Delaney
I decided to read “The Girl Before” because my mom read it and absolutely loved it (she finished it in a day) and we have very similar reading tastes! I did finish it quickly (it is a page-turner) however by the end of the novel I was left wanting more. The book is a cross between Gone Girl and Fifty Shades of Grey – if you liked those two books, then you will probably love this one. My main issue with the novel was that the protagonists, both women, kept making stupid decisions. Some of their behavior was just outright ridiculous – I wanted to grab them by the shoulders and shake them! The book alternates between the perspectives of Emma (Before) and Jane (After) as they move into a new apartment – a very beautiful but strange apartment owned by the handsome and mysterious Edward Montford (who is very similar to Christian Grey in Fifty Shades of Grey). Overall it was very entertaining and worth the read! – Southern Curls and Pearls

This book review was written by Southern Curls and Pearls , she said it just perfectly so I had to share.

I hope you all have an amazing day and pick up a book this summer to read on those lazy days by the pool.

XOXO
