Drugstore Makeup Favorites

I love my high end makeup products but sometimes I don’t always want to spend a fortune for them. So I was on a mission to find products that would help me achieve the same results I am used to with my high end products.

Trust me I love my Estee Lauder Foundation more than anything but I found a new gem that does an amazing job. It has a beautiful matte finish that feels like velvety soft on your skin and finishes without looking “cakey”.  It actually does what it says, and stayed on 24 hours with separating and falling off your face.

Ardell Lashes

My absolute favorite eyelashes. Eyelashes just change your entire look. The Real Housewives love them, I love them, I try and stock up so I can have them anytime I go out. They just open up your face so much.

Highlighter

This highlighter completely surprised me in a good way. Start your highlighter from the apple of your cheek and along the top of your cheek bone all the way up to help create a glow and this will help define your bone structure.

Burt’s Bees matte lipstick

Of course you can’t leave the store without grabbing the newest product from Burt’s Bees. Any product of theirs I am a huge fan of.

Favorite White Nail Polish

No Drugstore run would be complete without getting some nail polish. I am hooked on white nail polish. It looks so clean and crisp anytime of the year but especially during the summer, it makes everything pop. You can see it in the picture I posted above. The eyelashes and White nails just change your whole look.

Easter makes me nostalgic.

Easter is my favorite time of year. Mostly for the religious aspect. I think it’s all the changes you start to see right in front of you. Everything is coming back to life, no coincidence I’m sure, that this is how life works 😉 Trees and plants starting to bloom, bumble bees doing a dance in flight, birds chirping, bunnies hopping, children laughing as they run after their colored eggs on Easter Sunday.  My Birthday is also in April so that makes it fun! My mother asking if we want to watch Steel Magnolias again for the 2902930390202 time, my sisters and I favorite movie of all time. Yes, please. It’s just so special. A love of excitement and so much love.

One of my fondest memories on Easter when I was growing up was when my Mother would make her ” Easter Bunny Cake”. It’s my absolute favorite part of Easter. She would bake it and then let her girls decorate it and now her grandchildren get in on the fun.
